Click Baldwin Dies in Motorcycle Accident

by Ground Report    July 30, 2008

North Carolina Motorcycle dealer Click Baldwin died in Montana from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident that occurred on Tuesday morning.

Click Baldwin was riding a 2009 Harley-Davidson in Lolo, Montana when he had a collision with a 1999 Honda Civic. Sources say he was trying to illegally pass the Honda through a double yellow line when the car turned left. He hit the rear of the car and was thrown from his motorcycle and hit the pavement and then a road sign. He was rushed to Missoula, MT hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. Click Baldwin was pronounced dead around 11:30 EDT.

Click Baldwin is known for owning the Carolina Harley-Davidson Buell motorcycle dealership in Gastonia, NC. He is also known as a close friend of NASCAR driver Kyle Petty and others in the racing world. He supported many charitable organizations and fundraising events like Petty's Annual Charity Ride, The Victory Junction Gang and the Speedway Children's Charities.

It's always bad news when a fellow rider dies, but the statement "illegally pass the Honda through a double yellow line" says it all. He should have known better!
