Owners of Murrells Inlet biker bar SBB Four Corners could throw in the towel, co-owner Todd Price said.

The bar is up for sale because, except during the spring and fall motorcycle rallies, business is slow and it's not making money.

Suck Bang Blow Original -- which derives its name from the way an internal combustion engine works -- will stay put, Price said. Four Corners will stay open until owners find a buyer.

"Our plan is to just close [Four Corners] down and just run the original," Price said. "We make great money there three weeks of the year, but the rest of the year, we don't have any business running."

Both bars have been hot spots for biker activities during the local rallies, hosting vendors, stunt shows and bands.

Part of the reason for the owners' decision to sell is the maintenance cost for Four Corners. The bar is about 40,000 square feet, compared with about 5,000 square feet at the original bar.

"We still have to heat it, insure it, and cool it," even during the off-season when it's not getting much business, Price said.

Owners have tried renting the venue out for private functions, letting the local roller derby use it and holding music shows there, but none of those brought in enough money to make a profit.

Still, the bar could remain open for bikers who attend fall rally in October, Price said.

Vendor deposits for The Pilgrimage fall motorcycle rally will start coming in about a month. If the business hasn't been sold before it starts taking deposits, it will stay open for the fall rally, Price said.

Say it isn't so..... !!!

At least SBB Original is staying open!
